Happy Easter!

It's been a while since I've blogged and thought I would wish you all a very Happy Easter.  Easter has always been very special to me and I love it almost as much as Christmas.  It will be fun to get together with family and celebrate this blessed season.

Easter has always made me feel so optimistic about life and about Spring.  I also love to cook and we usually have a big feast where we have ham on the Saturday and turkey on the Sunday.  This week I have been busy cooking and  baking and really enjoy having my husband home to enjoy mealtime with.  This is the first Easter in 3 years that he isn't working!

It's been a week of going for walks and enjoying the spring thaw, spending time with family, enjoying spring flowers, spending time in the kitchen, going for drives and walks and a little bit of scrapbooking.      My husband also had a special job interview and we are waiting to hear if he gets the job.  If he does, we will be moving and the exciting part is that he will come home every day after work and we will be close to my older children, which is so awesome!!!  Here are some random photos of the week.

Scrapbook Challenges Sketch #337

Happy Monday!

Today is an awesome sketch reveal at Scrapbook Challenges for Sketch 337.  Isn't it great?

Here was my take on the sketch:

It was fun to create again as I haven't scrapbooked for about five weeks.  I used my Silhouette Cameo and cut out a stencil of the hearts.  I then used Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Peach and also Primrose and sprayed on a white piece of card stock. The shimmer doesn't really show up on the photos, but trust me, the mists are so pretty and shimmery.  I then used some trim from Lawn Fawn to outline some of the hearts.  The flower was cut with the Cameo and misted with Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Mint.  I placed the layers a little different to direct it to the photo of my husband and I on my son's wedding day.   I also used some washi tape from Doodlebug Designs and then stitched the word "family" to the washi tape.

I hope you enjoy the sketch and be sure to upload to the Sketch #337 thread in the forums at Scrapbook Challenges and also the gallery.  You may be one of our Gallery Gems.

Have a fabulous day!
